Dear Colleagues,
Environmental Biotechnology Department is a leader among biotechnology research centers in Poland focused on environment biotechnology. The research is concerned on bioremediation of water and soil, and analysis and monitoring of environmental samples.We possess laboratories enabling:
- biochemical research (e.g. oxygen uptake rate, dehydrogenase, phosphatase, lipase activity)
- physiochemical analyses (e.g. spectrophotometry, liquid and ion chromatography, IR)
- microbial analyses (e.g. CFU, MNP, microscopes)
- molecular biology research (e.g. PCR, rtPCR, DGGE, FISH)
- technological research (many lab-scale bioreactors with necessary equipment)
We invite to conduct research within the scope of bachelor or master's theses and doctoral dissertation. The research may concern broadly understood environmental and health issues as for example the effect of selected compounds or factors on:
- living organisms (microorganisms, plants etc.)
- physical chemical parameters of the environment (organic matter, buffers soil properties, soluble forms of biogenic elements, etc.
- intensity and direction of biochemical processes (oxidation, mineralization, conversion of nitrogen, etc.)
We would also like to invite guest lecturers to present their own ideas and professionals to give lectures in areas such as: life science, engineering science, biotechnology, agriculture, modern analytical techniques etc.
